Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary We are seeking experienced Senior Software Engineers to support a major transformation initiative within its Broker-Dealer Systems and core technology platforms. This role sits at the intersection of modern software engineering and advanced AI-driven development, leveraging generative AI tools to enhance productivity across the full software development lifecycle. Engineers will work on large-scale, high-availability systems that directly impact millions of clients while contributing to the development of intelligent, scalable solutions in a highly regulated financial environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain large-scale distributed systems supporting high-volume financial transactions. Apply GenAI tools to accelerate development across coding, testing, refactoring, documentation, and troubleshooting. Lead and contribute to AI-assisted development workflows, including prompt engineering and spec-driven development. Build and deploy microservices-based architectures in cloud environments. Develop and integrate AI/ML capabilities, including working with large language models in production systems. Participate in system modernization efforts, including migration from legacy platforms to distributed architectures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, product owners, and other engineers. Ensure code quality, scalability, and reliability in highly available systems. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation of development processes. Mentor junior engineers and help establish best practices across teams. Required Qualifications 7+ years of software engineering experience using Java and/or .NET, Spring, and web services in high-availability environments. Hands-on experience with GenAI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code across development workflows. Strong understanding of AI-assisted development, prompt engineering, and agentic workflows. 2+ years of experience deploying AI/ML solutions into production environments. 6+ years of experience with containers, microservices, and cloud-native architectures. Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or PCF. Strong engineering fundamentals, code quality ownership, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ. Experience in financial services or regulated environments. Experience with databases such as MongoDB, Aerospike, or PostgreSQL. Exposure to legacy modernization efforts, including mainframe-to-cloud-native system migrations. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence. Experience with test-driven development and QA automation. Strong documentation and architectural design skills. Understanding of broker-dealer systems and financial domain concepts.
