Position Details:
Title: Patch Engineer

Duration: Long Term Contract
Pay Rate: $55 per hour on W2 with benefits
Job Description.
Responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and validating patching activities across OT systems, including control systems, PI infrastructure, servers, and workstations.
Position Summary: Responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and validating patching activities across OT systems, including control systems, PI infrastructure, servers, and workstations, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards and maintaining system reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patch Planning & Coordination:
- Coordinate patch schedules with stakeholders
- Communicate with engineering, operations, and site leadership
- Obtain approvals prior to patch execution
- System Assessment & Patch Evaluation:
- Identify and evaluate applicable patches
- Assess system compatibility and operational risk
- Perform scans to determine patch requirements
- Patch Deployment Execution:
- Apply approved patches to servers and workstations
- Place systems in maintenance mode as needed
- Follow approved procedures for deployment
- System Validation & Recovery:
- Verify system functionality after patching
- Ensure systems return to full operational state
- Perform post-patch validation scans
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Maintain patching records and checklists
- Asset & Lifecycle Support:
- Support system upgrades and antivirus updates
- Assist with backup and recovery processes
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work with IT, cybersecurity teams, and vendors
- Coordinate patching during outages and maintenance windows
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of OT systems (DCS, SCADA, PI)
- Experience with patching tools
- Understanding of cybersecurity requirements
- Strong communication and documentation skills

- Timely patching within compliance windows
- Minimal operational disruptions
- Accurate documentation and audit readiness
SKILLS
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Computer Engineering
- Understanding of cybersecurity requirements
- Knowledge of OT systems (DCS, SCADA, PI)
- Experience with patching tools
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Experience working within formal change-management processes
