Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is working with a client in Greater Saint Louis looking for a Project Manager to drive successful outcomes for mid-size (under $1M) and small projects by leading cross-functional teams and managing the full project lifecycle. This role focuses on delivering results through strong planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder communication, while following project management best practices aligned with PMI and PMBOK standards. The Project Manager will partner closely internally to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead project teams and manage assigned resources to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule and meet defined objectives
* Facilitate collaboration across technical and non-technical teams to maintain momentum and accountability
* Develop comprehensive project plans, including work breakdown structures, timelines, dependencies, and milestones
* Manage project activities such as scoping, planning, execution, resource allocation, time approvals, change management, and stakeholder engagement
* Apply project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall based on project needs
* Create and maintain project documentation, including project charters, project plans, RAID logs, and go/no-go decision documents
* Ensure clear objectives and governance practices are established from project initiation through completion
* Track project progress, analyze task completion, and proactively identify risks or issues
* Develop mitigation strategies and recommend schedule or scope adjustments, securing approvals as needed
* Prepare and deliver project status reports, dashboards, and executive updates
* Maintain transparent and consistent communication with stakeholders to support informed decision-making

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, MIS, or a related field required
* Master's degree in Business, MIS, or a related field preferred
* Project Management Institute (PMI) affiliation
* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
* 5-8 years of project management experience, particularly in application development or system implementations
* 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience; 5+ years of supervisory experience preferred
* Experience supporting higher education or IT-related projects
* Strong understanding of how technology and business processes support organizational missions and operational efficiency
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and thrive in fast-paced or evolving environments
* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
* Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate or collaborate with leadership
* Strong customer service orientation and cross-departmental coordination skills
* Demonstrated ability to present complex information clearly and effectively
* Experience leading, motivating, and building high-performing project teams
* Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
* Highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in planning and scheduling
* Professional integrity with the ability to maintain confidentiality

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
