Role Overview
Consultant being sought to create practical, easy-to-use documentation and knowledge resources for enterprise AI enablement. This individual will translate complex technology, governance, risk, and operating-model concepts into clear SharePoint and Confluence content, process diagrams, procedures, and reusable guidance. The role is suited for a hands-on technical writer with an IT background who can organize ambiguous inputs and collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain SharePoint and Confluence pages for AI enablement and governance work, including logical navigation, page structures, templates, and content organization.
- Create and edit procedures, process guides, playbooks, FAQs, checklists, decision trees, and other reference materials for varied business and technical audiences.
- Develop process maps, workflow diagrams, swimlanes, stakeholder-engagement maps, and operating-model visuals that clarify roles, handoffs, approvals, and escalation paths.
- Gather information through stakeholder interviews and working sessions, identify documentation gaps or inconsistencies, and validate content with subject-matter experts.
- Improve consistency across materials by applying common terminology, formatting, version-control practices, and content-review routines.
- Partner with business, technology, data, risk, compliance, legal, and governance stakeholders to turn evolving requirements into usable, implementation-ready artifacts.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in technical writing, IT documentation, knowledge management, business analysis, process design, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience creating and maintaining content in SharePoint and Confluence. Proficiency with tools such as Visio, PowerPoint, Word, or comparable diagramming and documentation platforms.
General Skills: Demonstrated ability to create clear procedures, process maps, and visual documentation for complex workflows. Working knowledge of enterprise technology environments and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders. Strong writing, editing, interviewing, synthesis, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience documenting AI, data, technology governance, risk, compliance, or other emerging-technology processes.
- Experience with Jira or similar work-management tools; financial-services or other regulated-industry experience is a plus.
