Location: Hartford, Connecticut (Hybrid (80% Remote / 20% Onsite)

Duration: 12 + months Contract

Pay rate: $55-$60

About the Role

We are seeking a Mid-to-Senior Level BI / Tableau Administrator to support and maintain enterprise reporting, analytics, and business intelligence platforms. This role is responsible for platform administration, user support, incident management, troubleshooting, monitoring, and ensuring the reliability and performance of business-critical reporting services.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience administering Tableau Cloud, supporting Azure SQL Database environments, troubleshooting reporting and integration issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable analytics solutions.

This position offers the opportunity to work with modern cloud-based reporting technologies, data integration platforms, and enterprise-scale analytics environments.

Key Responsibilities

Tableau Administration & Support
  • Administer Tableau Cloud sites, projects, users, groups, permissions, and security.
  • Monitor platform health, extract refreshes, subscriptions, and scheduled jobs.
  • Troubleshoot Tableau performance, connectivity, and reporting issues.
  • Support report developers, analysts, and business users.
  • Deploy and promote reports across development, testing, and production environments.

Database & Reporting Support
  • Support and troubleshoot Azure SQL Database environments used for enterprise reporting.
  • Investigate reporting data issues and perform data validation activities.
  • Monitor database connectivity, query performance, and data refresh processes.
  • Assist with SQL/SOQL troubleshooting and performance optimization.

Data Integration & Platform Operations
  • Monitor and support Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines loading Salesforce and other source-system data into Azure SQL Database.
  • Troubleshoot data load failures and data quality issues.
  • Identify root causes of integration and reporting issues.
  • Collaborate with development and integration teams during incident resolution and deployments.
  • Support MuleSoft Runtime Fabric (RTF) environments and integrations impacting reporting platforms.


Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience supporting business intelligence, reporting, or analytics platforms.
  • Experience with Tableau Cloud administration and support.
  • Experience working with Salesforce data models, objects, fields, and relationships.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with Azure SQL Database or similar relational databases.
  • Experience supporting enterprise dashboards, reporting, and analytics solutions.
  • Experience with user administration, including:
    • User provisioning and deprovisioning
    • Roles and profiles
    • Permission sets
    • Sharing rules and access controls
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience engaging with vendor support teams and driving issue resolution.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and self-directed.
  • Ability to manage work independently from requirements through implementation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Experience collaborating with architects, technical leads, and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to provide mentorship, guidance, and knowledge sharing to team members.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Experience with MuleSoft Runtime Fabric (RTF) and MuleSoft integrations.
  • Experience working within Salesforce reporting and analytics environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud technologies.
