Job Details

Product Engineer
Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Product Engineer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will support the complete product development lifecycle-from concept and design through production. You'll collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and vendors to develop innovative products, improve existing designs, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands-on design work, problem-solving, and seeing their ideas come to life on the manufacturing floor.

Key Responsibilities
Lead product development projects from concept through production.
Design and develop tooling, dies, and manufacturing components using SolidWorks.
Create, update, and maintain engineering drawings, layouts, and technical documentation.
Review designs for manufacturability, accuracy, quality, and cost effectiveness.
Develop cost estimates for new tooling and product designs.
Partner with Purchasing to maintain accurate bills of materials (BOMs).
Support prototype development, testing, and production implementation.
Reverse engineer existing parts and equipment to improve performance or replace obsolete components.
Maintain engineering revision control and documentation.
Coordinate with vendors, fabricators, and machinists to ensure successful project execution.
Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and production efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Experience with product design, tooling, die design, or manufacturing engineering.
Proficiency with SolidWorks is required.
Experience working with machining, fabrication, or mechanical assembly processes.
Strong understanding of manufacturing methods and engineering best practices.
Knowledge of cost estimating and project coordination.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Skills
Experience creating detailed manufacturing drawings and technical documentation.
Familiarity with plant layouts, reverse engineering, and BOM management.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
