Embedded Software Engineer
Location: Denver, CO
12 Months Contract
We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with strong expertise in Embedded C/C++, Linux Kernel, Device Drivers, BSP, U-Boot, and Yocto/Open Embedded development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, debugging, and optimizing software for broadband and gateway platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software using C/C++ on Linux-based platforms.
- Develop and debug Linux Kernel components, Device Drivers, BSPs, and U-Boot bootloaders.
- Build and customize embedded Linux distributions using Yocto, Open Embedded, and Bit Bake.
- Troubleshoot system-level issues using debugging and performance analysis tools.
- Support broadband gateway platforms and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Participate in software validation, testing, and release activities.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Embedded C/C++, Linux Kernel, Device Drivers, BSP, U-Boot, Yocto/OpenEmbedded, and BitBake.
- Experience with system debugging, log analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of DOCSIS, Fiber Gateways, and Wi-Fi 6/6E/7 technologies.
- Familiarity with TR-069, TR-369, ACS, Telemetry, and network analysis tools such as Wireshark.
- Experience with JIRA, Boardfarm, and embedded software development lifecycle.
- Experience in broadband, telecom, or connected device environments.
- Exposure to gateway certification, network protocols, and automation frameworks.
