Overview: The MDM Engineering & Operations Manager is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the design, deployment, administration, and day-to-day operation of the enterprise Customer Master Data Management capability using Profisee. This role owns both the technical engineering and operational execution of customer mastering ensuring high-quality, trusted golden records that reliably support analytics, reporting, downstream applications, and regulatory use cases. You will lead a small team of MDM engineers and operations analysts while working closely with Data Governance, Engineering, Privacy, and Business stakeholders. Key Responsibilities MDM Solution Design & Architecture
Design and evolve the Customer MDM solution using Profisee, aligned to enterprise data architecture standards
Define entity models, attributes, hierarchies, and relationships for customer mastering
Design match/merge rules, survivorship logic, and golden record strategies
Establish publishing patterns to downstream systems (analytics, CRM, operational platforms)
Ensure alignment with data governance standards, privacy requirements, and security controls Platform Deployment & Administration
Own Profisee platform configuration, environment management, and release lifecycle
Administer models, rules, workflows, jobs, and integrations within Profisee
Manage platform upgrades, patches, and configuration changes
Partner with infrastructure and cloud teams to ensure availability, performance, and scalability MDM Operations & Run-the-Business
Lead day-to-day MDM operations including job monitoring, incident resolution, and defect management
Establish SLAs for data latency, data quality, and operational reliability
Oversee onboarding of new source systems and incremental domain enhancements
Manage data corrections, reprocessing, and complex break/fix scenarios Data Quality & Stewardship Enablement
Partner with Data Governance and Stewardship teams to operationalize quality rules and exception handling
Enable stewardship workflows for review, remediation, and approvals
Support root cause analysis for data quality issues impacting customer records
Ensure transparency and traceability of mastering decisions Integration & Engineering Leadership
Oversee development of source and downstream integrations (APIs, pipelines, ETL/ELT)
Ensure performant, reliable data ingestion and publishing
Lead performance tuning of matching, survivorship, and processing logic
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to MDM engineers and analysts Required Qualifications
6-10 years of experience in Master Data Management, data engineering, or data platform operations
Hands-on experience designing and operating Customer MDM solutions
Direct experience implementing or administering Profisee (or comparable MDM platforms)
Strong understanding of entity modeling, match/merge logic, survivorship, and publishing patterns
Experience managing small technical teams and operational workloads Preferred Qualifications
Experience mastering customer data in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, insurance)
Familiarity with cloud-native data stacks (Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, modern BI tools)
Understanding of privacy concepts (PII, consent, retention, minimization) as they relate to MDM
Experience partnering with Data Governance, Privacy, and Security functions
Exposure to Agile delivery and product-oriented data teams What Success Looks Like
