This role is ideal for a hands-on engineering leader who wants real ownership. The VP of Engineering will guide technical strategy, lead a lean engineering team, and play a critical role in shaping how AI is leveraged across the organization. This is not a purely strategic role, the company is looking for someone who enjoys building, mentoring, and driving execution while influencing long-term direction. Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- Prior leadership experience managing engineering teams
- Strong experience with Ruby or Ruby on Rails
- Proven ability to stay hands-on while leading teams
- Experience working in SaaS or product-driven environments
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience implementing or scaling AI-driven systems
- Background in hardware + software integration
- Experience modernizing legacy systems
- Previous experience as a Principal or Staff Engineer transitioning into leadership
