Job Overview

We are seeking a LabVIEW Engineer to support the development, modification, integration, troubleshooting, and validation of LabVIEW applications for Chemical Delivery test stands and engineering laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify LabVIEW software for Chemical Delivery test stands and engineering lab equipment.
• Integrate LabVIEW applications with MFCs, valves, sensors, DAQ hardware, PLCs, and other instrument communication protocols.
• Develop automated test sequences, data acquisition, data logging, reporting, and diagnostic tools.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and validate existing and newly developed LabVIEW applications.
• Support new test stand development and enhancements to existing test platforms.
• Perform periodic updates and enhancements as project requirements evolve.
• Provide onsite support for hardware communication testing, debugging, and validation.
• Develop a comprehensive master LabVIEW framework to reduce future support needs while allowing periodic updates for new hardware, products, and test requirements.

Workload

• The engagement is project-driven and sporadic rather than continuous.
• Monthly demand may vary significantly, with support sometimes required on short notice for urgent development, validation, troubleshooting, or production-related issues.
• The consultant will be engaged as needed for critical project deliverables, test stand development, and troubleshooting activities.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with LabVIEW development.
• Experience with LabVIEW hardware integration and instrument communications.
• Experience with test automation and DAQ systems.
• Experience with serial, DeviceNet, and Ethernet communications.
• Experience working with engineering laboratory and test environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and validation skills.
• Ability to work directly with laboratory hardware and test equipment.

Preferred Background

• Experience developing LabVIEW frameworks for automated test stands.
• Experience integrating multiple types of instrumentation and industrial hardware.
• Experience supporting evolving test platforms and developing reusable LabVIEW architectures.
