Job Title: Sr. Oracle SQL Analyst

Job Overview:

Requirement/Must Have:

5+ years of Oracle SQL development against transactional databases.
5+ years of writing complex SQL (joins, CTEs, subqueries, CASE, aggregate and analytic functions).
5+ years of normalized relational database design and table relationships.
3+ years of Oracle PL/SQL (procedures, functions, packages, views) - highly desired.
3+ years of SQL job scheduling and automated database processes.
5+ years of SQL troubleshooting, query optimization, and data validation - highly desired.
3+ years of translating business requirements into SQL solutions.
3+ years of operational reporting and data analysis.

Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and optimize complex Oracle SQL and PL/SQL programs.
Write simple and complex SQL queries from scratch against normalized Oracle transactional databases.
Analyze business requirements and determine the appropriate tables, relationships, joins, and business rules needed to answer complex business questions.
Extract, validate, transform, and analyze operational data for reporting, research, grants, and executive requests.
Develop and maintain automated SQL processes, scheduled database jobs, and recurring data refreshes.
Troubleshoot SQL scripts, automated jobs, and data quality issues.
Create efficient, reusable, and well-documented SQL code.
Support recurring operational reports, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), legislative reporting, and research initiatives.
Collaborate with business users to understand reporting needs and communicate analytical findings.
Support Tableau dashboards and other data visualization initiatives as needed.

Nice to Have:

Experience with Tableau or other data visualization software.
Experience in criminal justice or other large transactional database environments.
