Hardware Engineer (Server Hardware Management)

Key Responsibilities

• Design and support infrastructure using CPU, GPU, APU, storage, networking, and security technologies.
• Create procedures for hardware testing, deployment, performance optimization, and issue resolution.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for hardware design, testing, and deployment.
• Evaluate hardware systems, identify operational gaps, and recommend improvements.
• Build automation and software solutions using Python, Ansible, open-source, and vendor tools.
• Automate server management including remote access, firmware updates (IDRAC/IPMI), and device integration.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across hardware, OS, network, and storage layers.
• Validate and certify new hardware for integration into Morgan Stanley infrastructure.
• Collaborate in Agile teams and support large-scale production environments with strong security practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years experience supporting data center GPUs (H100, NVIDIA DGX B300 or newer).
• Expertise in Infiniband, NVLink, and server hardware technologies.
• Strong programming skills in Python and Ansible.
• Experience with IPMI / Redfish for BMC communication.
• Strong Linux, networking, and x86 hardware knowledge.
• Experience managing large-scale production environments and system hardening.
• Excellent troubleshooting, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Master s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
