Network Administrator

CMK Resources is seeking a Senior Network Systems Administrator who is technically strong, self-directed, and comfortable owning complex infrastructure in a fast-moving, high-availability environment.

This is a long-term opportunity with a well-established organization that takes its IT operations seriously. You won’t be stuck in a ticket queue—you’ll play a key role in keeping systems running, secure, and scalable, while helping position the environment for future growth, including cloud initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support firewall and virtual server environments
• Monitor and support SAN (storage area network) operations
• Oversee system backups and data replication
• Assist with physical server builds and server migrations
• Monitor for network security events and execute incident response procedures
• Provide occasional after-hours support for business-critical systems
• Develop and maintain clear, thorough network documentation
• Support internal IT teams with escalated technical issues

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 6+ years of hands-on network/systems administration experience
• Strong experience with VMware and virtualization technologies
• Proficiency in Windows Server (2019/2022) and Linux
• Solid understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy
• Working knowledge of Fortinet firewalls and security tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate across technical and non-technical teams

Nice to Have Experience:

• Experience with Pure Storage arrays and Dell blade servers
• Exposure to AWS / cloud environments
• Familiarity with Veeam Backup
