Role Overview

This role supports engineering teams across the full budget lifecycle, including planning, forecasting, accruals, and reporting. Additionally, the coordinator will focus on building recurring reporting and automation systems that the organization relies on for daily operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support engineering teams through quarterly and annual planning cycles by clarifying processes and tooling, resolving inquiries, and providing tailored analytical support.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to audit budget and forecast submissions in internal tooling, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Analyze forecast and spend data, translating variances into a clear narrative with named drivers while identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Log action items from reviews, follow up with assigned owners, and drive items to closure.
  • Run and review the monthly accrual cycle by collecting accruals, validating them against open purchase order balances, and entering them into the tracking system on time.
  • Build and maintain recurring reporting, including weekly and monthly budget status, forecast status, commitment reports, and vendor dashboards.
  • Develop reusable digital assistants and agents for recurring workflows, analysis, and reporting tasks to drive efficiency and scale.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for budget owners on spend questions, working cross-functionally with procurement and accounts payable.
Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field is preferred.

Experience: Four to five or more years of hands-on experience in spend tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and capacity or resource analysis, preferably supporting an engineering, hardware, R&D, or manufacturing organization.

Technical Skills: Advanced spreadsheet skills including complex formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and large-workbook modeling. Experience building dashboards and data visualizations using business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is required. Practical background in workflow automation tooling or prompt engineering is also necessary.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional data or analytics certification, such as a recognized data analytics professional certificate, Tableau Desktop Specialist, Certified Data Analyst, or Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst.
  • Exposure to a hardware or consumer electronics product development lifecycle and New Product Introduction (NPI) gates.
  • Experience implementing new processes and managing change across cross-functional teams.
