Summary

The Director IT – USA is responsible for directing the general day-to-day operations of the organization's computer systems, networks, programs, infrastructure, help-desk support, databases, and other technologies.

Contributes to the planning and maintenance of the organization's data technology operations, including computer hardware, software, and telecommunications.
Participates in the evaluation, development, and recommendation of solutions specific to the entire organization as well as specific solutions for individual departments.
Coordinates and schedules the transition from existing to new platforms and systems
Monitors the needs of the organization vis-a-vis the newest technology
Works with organizational leaders to develop technology plans, policies, and procedures in alignment with company and corporate goals and standards
Prepares and submits accurate and timely information to senior management as needed, as it relates to IT initiatives and projects.
Assesses and estimates project requirements, resource requirements, lead times, funding, procedures and staffing for implementation and maintenance for regional and/or global projects
Identifies vendors and negotiate effectively for necessary hardware and software for the region in alignment with corporate
Other duties as assigned

Minimum Required

Education: High School Diploma or GED required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related
10+ Years

Knowledgeable of current legislation, initiatives and best practice within the field of construction health, safety and environmental management
Strong self-starter and self-directed characteristics
Ability to properly identify, assess and resolve problems and/or issues
Exhibits a high sense of personal motivation and urgency
History of developing and sharing best practices
Experienced in developing and maintaining close relationships
Absolute commitment to ethical business standards
Ability to demonstrate collaborative working relationships with peers and foster the same with direct reports

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
