POSITION: Electrical Engineer
Location: Tulsa, OK (onsite)
Schedule: M-F, 8-5
Salary: $100,000 - $125,000
Job Description Overview
The Product Engineer responsibility is to facilitate the design of modular power distribution centers (PDCs). The design is comprised of electrical drawings, mechanical drawings, calculation justification reports, and process procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Plan the layout of the PDC, in general assembly drawings, based on customer specifications and National Electric Code (NEC) requirements.
· Develop interconnecting diagrams of the equipment inside of the PDC.
· Create raceway/conductor schedules that capture wire interconnections, routing pathways, and conduit sizing.
· Route conduit from equipment to wireways and cable trays.
· Design custom off-the-shelf panelboard layouts that align with electrical needs while also considering NEC requirements.
· (Select appropriate Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment based on customer specifications, internal equipment heat generation, and environmental characteristics using HVAC calculation software.
· Select appropriate lighting equipment and location based on customer specifications, and internal equipment positioning.
· Strategize completion schedule with Program Management.
· Report project progress to upper management.
· Meet with customers and vendors to discuss technical details.
Required Skills and Abilities
· Great written and verbal skills are required.
· Experience in industrial electrical design is required.
· Experience in engineering at the project level is required.
· Experience in medium voltage is preferred.
· Experience with design engineering in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD LT is preferred, competitive software experience excepted.
· Proficiency with International Building Code, International Mechanical Code, International Energy Conservation Code, and National Electrical Code, NFPA70 is preferred.
Education and Experience
· Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in electrical engineering or a related field required.
Certifications and Licenses
· EIT License, preferred
· Professional Engineer License, desired.
