About the Role
Our client is looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join a diverse, high-performing team focused on technical excellence. You will serve as a technical lead in building agentic solutions and deliver reliable, scalable digital products that drive a more dependable and profitable business. This role sits within the AI domain, covering the research, design, engineering, application, and governance of AI systems, including NLP, reinforcement learning, and generative AI.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as technical lead in developing agentic solutions.
  • Work with leaders, business analysts, project managers, IT architects, technical leads, developers, and internal customers to understand business requirements and shape AI solutions.
  • Maintain and enhance enterprise services, applications, and platforms using domain-driven design and test-driven development.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Create detailed project specifications, requirements, and estimates.
  • Research and implement new AI technologies to improve processes, security, and performance.
  • Partner with software architects and technical leads so that decisions support long-term enterprise growth.
  • Work on pioneering AI projects that solve complex problems and create significant business value.
  • Take part in all phases of development, following Agile and test-driven practices and using object-oriented tools to analyze, model, design, build, and test reusable objects.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of experts, using cutting-edge technologies to build scalable, impactful AI solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
  • 5+ years of full SDLC experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale applications in hosted production environments.
  • 5+ years of professional, design, and open-source experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
  • 7 years of full SDLC experience.
  • Prior experience designing and building agentic systems.
  • 2+ years of experience developing and implementing AI solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Airline or transportation industry experience is a plus.
Technical Skills
  • Practical understanding of transformer architectures and how modern LLMs work.
  • Hands-on experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol).
  • Agentic orchestration using frameworks such as Semantic Kernel, LangChain/LangGraph, Microsoft Copilot Studio, OpenAI/Anthropic tool-calling patterns, or equivalent.
  • Prompt engineering: systematic prompt design, few-shot learning, chain-of-thought, and prompt optimization for foundation models.
  • Vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate, Chroma) and RAG architecture patterns.
  • LLM evaluation methods, including LLM-as-a-judge, automated benchmarking, and regression testing of model outputs.
  • Post-deployment model maintenance: observability, monitoring, cost optimization, and drift detection.
  • Developing and implementing governance frameworks and controls for responsible AI.
  • Experimentation and measurement: A/B testing, KPI instrumentation, and operational analytics.
  • Strong Python proficiency; working knowledge of Java or another enterprise language.
  • Object-oriented design techniques and principles.
  • Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform) and cloud-native development patterns.
  • CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools: Git, GitHub, Jenkins, ADO Pipelines, or equivalent.
  • RESTful API design and integration patterns (JSON, microservices).
  • Agile methodologies such as Scrum.
  • Microsoft Office tools (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) is a plus.
