Web Security Engineer Proxy Migration (Broadcom to Netskope SWG)
Overview
We are seeking experienced Web Security Engineers to join a small, specialized team focused on web security technologies, specifically proxy and secure web gateway solutions. This role will support a large-scale migration project from Broadcom (Blue Coat/Symantec) Proxy to Netskope Secure Web Gateway (SWG).
This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong migration, troubleshooting, and stakeholder engagement experience.
Team Environment
- Team of 5 engineers focused on web security (proxy and remote access)
- Highly collaborative environment with direct interaction with application owners and business teams
- Engineers manage multiple application migrations in parallel
- Strong documentation and communication are critical to success
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute migration from Broadcom Proxy (Blue Coat/Symantec) to Netskope Secure Web Gateway
- Engineer and deploy proxy policies in Netskope SWG
- Partner with application teams to understand traffic flows and security requirements
- Troubleshoot user and non-user traffic issues during migration
- Build and implement secure web gateway policies
- Support and resolve proxy-related incidents
- Document configurations, processes, and migration steps
- Manage multiple concurrent migrations under timeline pressure
- Provide technical guidance to business and application stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- 3 5+ years of hands-on experience with:
- Broadcom Proxy (Blue Coat / Symantec Proxy)
- Netskope Secure Web Gateway (SWG)
- Proven migration experience between proxy platforms (Broadcom to Netskope strongly preferred)
- Experience deploying and engineering proxy policies
- Strong troubleshooting and customer support skills
- Experience working with both operations and engineering functions
- Excellent communication skills (technical and non-technical audiences)
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
