Job Title : BMS Autosar Engineer

Work Location Address Auburn Hills, MI

Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of engineers working on AUTOSAR-based communication and diagnostic projects.
Lead the design and architecture of AUTOSAR communication stacks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and diagnostic systems while ensuring adherence to AUTOSAR standards.
Participate hands-on in the development, integration, and testing of communication and diagnostic software modules.
Analyze customer requirements and convert them into detailed technical specifications and software design documents.
Conduct detailed code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and best development practices.
Oversee unit testing, integration testing, and system-level validation activities for communication and diagnostic functionalities.
Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues, driving effective problem-solving within the team.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation including architecture/design documents, interface specifications, and test reports.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, systems, and validation teams to ensure seamless project execution.
(Advantageous) Lead integration of Battery Management Systems (BMS) with AUTOSAR Basic Software (BSW).
Identify improvement opportunities in tools, processes, and workflows to enhance delivery efficiency and quality.
Contribute to project planning, estimation, tracking, and overall project execution.

Requirements:

6-10 years of hands-on experience with AUTOSAR architecture, configuration, and development.

Strong understanding of AUTOSAR methodology, standards, and software stack.
Expertise in automotive communication protocols: CAN, LIN, Ethernet (SOME/IP, AVB/TSN).
Strong understanding of automotive diagnostic protocols: UDS (ISO 14229), KWP2000, J1939.
Solid grasp of embedded systems, microcontroller architectures (ARM, etc.), and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
Proficiency in C programming and hands-on experience with embedded development toolchains (compilers, debuggers, emulators).
Experience using Vector tools - CANoe, CANalyzer, vTESTstudio.
Working knowledge of AUTOSAR Basic Software (BSW) modules such as CAN Driver, LIN Driver, ComM, DEM, etc.
Experience with AUTOSAR configuration tools such as EB Tresos.
Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
Proven leadership experience mentoring and guiding engineering teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Skills
Experience integrating Battery Management Systems (BMS) with AUTOSAR BSW

. Knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety standards.
Understanding of automotive cybersecurity concepts and implementation practices.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation and tooling.
