Job Summary
- The IT Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering IT training programs that enable airport employees to effectively use technology systems, software applications, and digital tools.
- This role ensures users are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to support operational efficiency, technology adoption, and continuous learning across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive IT training materials, user guides, e-learning content, and documentation.
- Plan and conduct instructor-led and virtual training sessions for employees on IT systems, applications, and digital tools.
- Coordinate training and onboarding activities for newly implemented IT systems and technologies.
- Assess training needs by collaborating with IT teams and business stakeholders.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, and continuously improve learning programs.
- Provide post-training support and guidance to end users to encourage successful technology adoption.
- Maintain training schedules, attendance records, and learning documentation.
- Ensure training content remains current with system updates, process changes, and organizational requirements.
- Promote best practices for the use of Microsoft 365 and airport operational systems.
- Support change management initiatives by preparing users for new technology implementations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Education, Instructional Design, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in IT training, learning and development, instructional design, or a similar role.
- Experience developing technical training content for end users.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Office 365) applications and collaboration tools.
- Familiarity with airport operational systems and IT environments is preferred.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Strong instructional design and content development capabilities.
- Ability to simplify technical concepts for users with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Effective organizational, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and virtual training platforms is an advantage.
