Summary

An established financial services organization is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to help drive the reliability, security, and modernization of a large-scale enterprise Linux platform supporting mission-critical customer and business operations. Based out of the organization's Etobicoke office, this position is ideal for a Linux professional who enjoys working across complex hybrid environments spanning enterprise datacenters, virtualization platforms, and Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.

In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and enhancing thousands of Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers while contributing to automation, platform engineering, privileged access management, operational excellence, and security initiatives. You'll partner closely with Infrastructure, Cloud, Cybersecurity, SRE, and Application teams to build scalable, resilient, and compliant Linux services that support a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

If you're passionate about enterprise Linux, infrastructure automation, and working with modern platform technologies at scale, this role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact within a highly visible and technically sophisticated environment.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Extensive hands-on experience administering large-scale Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9) environments, including patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, performance tuning, hardening, and lifecycle management across hundreds to thousands of production servers.
  • Strong automation and scripting experience leveraging Ansible, Python, Bash, GitHub, and Infrastructure as Code principles to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and platform scalability.
  • Proven experience supporting hybrid infrastructure environments across VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, and Microsoft Azure, including integration with enterprise identity and authentication services such as Active Directory, SSSD, and Kerberos.
  • Hands-on experience working with **ServiceNow** for incident, change, problem, and request management within a structured ITIL-driven operating model.
  • Demonstrated experience administering and supporting **CyberArk** solutions, including privileged account management, credential rotation, access governance, and secure privileged access workflows.

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience supporting Linux infrastructure within financial services, banking, insurance, or other highly regulated environments, with exposure to security and compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, CIS Benchmarks, and NIST.
  • Additional experience with enterprise security technologies such as CyberArk PAS, CyberArk Conjur, Venafi, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Azure Arc, OpenSCAP, Tripwire, or similar security and compliance tooling.
  • Hands-on experience with Red Hat Satellite, enterprise patch orchestration, system compliance reporting, and large-scale operating system lifecycle management.
  • Exposure to enterprise monitoring and observability platforms including Dynatrace, CheckMK, Splunk, or related operational monitoring solutions.
  • Experience supporting containerized workloads, DevOps tooling, NFS, enterprise storage platforms, and mission-critical application environments.
