Within the Multi Asset Solutions (MAS) investing group, we seek to develop a first-in-class digital advice platform across 401(k), IRA, and brokerage accounts, to provide individuals with custom tailored investment strategies to meet their retirement objectives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the architectural design and evolution of the PWM Margin Engineering ecosystems, ensuring scalability, security, and resilience.
  • Drive the execution of complex, multi-quarter projects, managing technical debt and aligning engineering roadmaps with business priorities.
  • Mentor Associate and Analyst developers, establishing best practices for TypeScript architecture, component-driven development, and AI tool governance.
  • Act as a primary technical liaison for senior stakeholders in Product and Business, translating high-level requirements into robust technical specifications.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies to transform internal platforms and maintain a competitive edge in Wealth Tech.
  • Oversee the stability of production environments, leading troubleshooting efforts for high-impact issues and optimizing the global deployment pipeline.
  • Spearhead movement of legacy platform to cloud infrastructure.

Basic Qualifications
  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience building production systems.
  • 2+ years of hands-on AWS experience with core services: EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS/Aurora, Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch;
  • Strong Java with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data; Spring Cloud preferred.
  • Strong foundation of cloud computing and distributed systems fundamentals: scalability, availability, consistency tradeoffs, event-driven architectures, idempotency, and backpressure.
  • A strong grounding in software engineering concepts and implementation of architecture design patterns.
  • A good understanding of multiple aspects of software development in microservices architecture and Java based back end development experience.
  • Sound SDLC and practices and tooling experience - version control, CI/CD and configuration management tools.
  • Ability to understand and effectively debug both new and existing software.
  • Experience with metrics and monitoring tooling, including the ability to use metrics to rationally derive system health and availability information.
  • Experience in supporting software based on sound SRE principles.

Preferred Qualifications
  • AWS Certifications (Solution Architect, Developer Associate/Professional)
  • Experience using and/or supporting Java based frameworks & SQL / NOSQL data stores.
  • Experience with deploying software to containerized environments - Kubernetes/Docker.
  • Scripting skills using Python, Shell or bash is a plus.
  • Experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code platforms is a plus.
  • Experience building services using public cloud providers specifically AWS is a plus.
