Job Summary
The IT Operations and Security Lead manage daily IT operations and drive the organization’s cybersecurity posture. This role ensures secure, reliable technology environments across all locations by overseeing system setup, asset management, security operations, and cross-functional IT initiatives. The position also contributes to strategic planning and implementing technology solutions to support business goals.
Essential Job Functions
Security Leadership
- Lead endpoint protection and threat response efforts.
- Manage security awareness and phishing simulation programs.
- Oversee alerting, monitoring, and log analysis tools.
- Drive patch compliance and vulnerability management through third-party platforms.
- Investigate security incidents and enforce email authentication policies (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
- Coordinate with external vendors to assess and reduce risk exposure in operational technology (OT) environments.
- Evaluate and implement security tools to strengthen organizational defenses.
- Deploy and configure systems based on department-specific needs.
- Maintain remote support tools and IT asset inventory.
- Support IT infrastructure and users across domestic and international locations (U.S., Mexico, Brazil, Australia).
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across hardware, software, and network systems.
- Manage lifecycle replacement of outdated and legacy hardware.
- Lead implementation of cross-functional platforms and IT tools.
- Plan and execute hardware refresh projects and network upgrades.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders on IT initiatives.
- Document processes, project plans, and post-implementation reviews.
- Contribute to the development of the IT roadmap and strategic initiatives.
- Escalate and address systemic support issues, improving resolution workflows.
- Represent IT in vendor engagements and professional cybersecurity communities.
- Proactively identify and recommend improvements for operational efficiency and security maturity.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, technology, degree or relevant experience.
- Highly organized and ability to multi-task.
- Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.).
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Excellent customer service skills both on the phone and face to face adaptable to all levels of profession.
- Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to make decisions with limited information.
- Experience in the following areas is required:
- Active Directory
- SharePoint Administration and Support
- Remote Desktop
- SQL Server Querying Knowledge
- MS Office 365 Suite of Products
- Network Administration –
- Terminal Services, Citrix-Xenapp, TCP\IP, Print Server Administration, Profile Management
- Network technologies such as LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP
- Citrix-Xenappo
- CISCO Telcom Support Knowledge
- Cyber Security (i.e. Standard Desktop Anti-virus programs and Enterprise Network Security Support)
Physical Demand ADA-Compliant Work is performed in an office environment. May exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
