Job Summary - Read, interpret, and follow planning, work orders, blueprints or mylars and other engineering data.
- Examines surface of metal to detect defects such as dents, scratches, burrs or breaks in metal.
- Prepares surface of part and edges to specified finish.
- Polishes metal surface.
- Inspects own work.
- Scribe parts and then blend to the scribe lines.
- Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications - Ability to read and understand blueprints preferred.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Prior use of air tools and measuring instruments is preferred.
- Read and understand internal procedures and policies.
- Understand and follow through on both verbal and written instructions.
- Active Listener
- Detail oriented
- Team oriented with a continuous improvement outlook.
- Basic Computer Skills - able to learn new screens, reports, functions and simple software programs with assistance.
Required Experience and Education- High School Diploma; previous manufacturing experience preferred.
