Leidos Defense Sector is seeking a skilled
Linux Systems Administrator and Network Engineer to support mission-critical operations at
Camp H.M. Smith, HI. In this role, you will provide essential technical expertise to the Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC), ensuring secure, resilient, and high-performance network and system operations in a dynamic Department of Defense environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide daily on-site support to Government and DoD personnel, ensuring the security and reliability of the ISSE Guard and TMPC Network.
- Perform maintenance, patching, STIG implementation, troubleshooting, and vulnerability management for mission-critical Linux systems.
- Deliver full-spectrum network engineering support, including planning, design, configuration, and operational oversight.
- Assess TMPC Network and LAN components, recommending emerging technologies to enhance mission capabilities.
- Maintain awareness of evolving tactical capabilities and contribute to TMPC lifecycle development and modernization efforts.
- Conduct periodic security testing, support accreditation/certification documentation, and implement system upgrades.
- Perform LAN maintenance, including firewall administration, access control management, VPN configuration, and switch/router updates aligned with baseline standards.
- Develop solutions to complex technical challenges and communicate best practices across Government and contractor teams.
- Create, update, and refine security documentation; manage security activity schedules; and produce weekly/monthly LAN configuration reports.
- Support Information Assurance and Certification activities, advising stakeholders to ensure compliance with security policies and requirements.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience, training, or certifications may substitute for a degree.
- Hands-on experience administering Linux servers and workstations in small, complex network environments.
- Proficiency with Linux system administration and file transfer protocols.
- Active IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+).
- ; Currently possesses an Active Top Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with Event Viewer, VMware, Active Directory, Group Policy, ACAS, and endpoint secuirty.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- Possess Advance Linux certification (e.g. Linux+)

Pay Range:Pay Range $73,450.00 - $132,775.00
