Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced API Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Java-based testing frameworks, particularly REST Assured and the Spock Framework, to design and implement scalable automated test solutions for RESTful services.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated API test scripts using REST Assured
Build BDD-style test cases using the Spock Framework
Validate API responses (status codes, payload, headers, schema)
Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins)
Collaborate with developers and QA teams to understand requirements and define test strategies
Perform data-driven and regression testing for microservices
Identify, log, and track defects effectively

Required Skills

Strong programming skills in Java
Hands-on experience with REST Assured for API automation
Strong expertise in the Spock Framework (BDD, mocking, data-driven testing)
Knowledge of HTTP protocols, REST principles, and JSON/XML
Experience with build tools like Maven or Gradle
Familiarity with version control tools like Git
