Summary
We are seeking a Senior Linux/Unix Systems Administrator to manage mission-critical systems in a 100% remote capacity.
The Details
- Work Arrangement: 100% Remote (Must reside in the Continental US).
- Time Zone: Must be comfortable working EST hours.
- Location: Columbia, SC (Remote).
- Interview Process: 1 Round, Virtual.
Core Responsibilities
- System Mastery (40%): Install, maintain, and tune system software for mission-critical performance and stability.
- Collaboration (35%): Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and technical bridge between various IT units.
- Mentorship (10%): Advise and train junior systems programmers.
- R&D (15%): Contribute to research and development for emerging system projects.
Required Skills & Experience
- Linux/UNIX: 5+ years of enterprise-level experience.
- Regulated Environments: 3+ years working within HIPAA or high-security healthcare settings.
- Automation: 3+ years of Scripting and Automation experience.
- Hybrid Environments: 3+ years managing mixed Linux/Windows systems within VMWare or Cloud environments.
Preferred Tech Stack
- RedHat-based Linux.
- Configuration Management: SaltStack, Ansible, or Puppet.
- Tools: GIT, Splunk, Elasticsearch, or similar logging tech.
- Networking: Software-Defined Networks (SDN).
- Certifications: RHCT, RHCE, or equivalent.
