Geotechnical Engineer

Description
Managing geotechnical engineering projects from initial planning through completion
Developing field exploration programs and laboratory testing plans for geotechnical investigations
Preparing proposals for geotechnical engineering services
Coordinating and overseeing field investigation activities
Collecting, sampling, and logging soil and rock materials during field work
Conducting research, performing engineering analyses, and preparing detailed geotechnical reports
Monitoring project budgets and schedules to ensure all requirements are met
Reviewing foundation and grading plans for compliance with geotechnical recommendations
Collaborating with civil engineers, structural engineers, architects, and construction managers
Working core hours Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with overtime as needed
Performing additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering (Master's degree preferred)
Professional Engineering license in the state
5+ years of relevant experience
Strong understanding of soil mechanics and laboratory testing methods
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with CADD software and Microsoft Office
Dependable, positive, and able to meet project deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with multiple concurrent deadlines

This is a Contract position based out of Poca, WV.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
