Apigee Lead

Introduction:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Apigee lead/sr. Developer and Architect to join our team in Alpharetta, GA. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in architecting scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs using the Apigee platform to drive digital transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Solution Design: Architect end-to-end API management solutions using the Apigee platform.
API Design: Design RESTful APIs and establish best practices for consistency and maintainability.
Platform Configuration: Customize the Apigee platform to implement API proxies, policies, and security mechanisms.
Integration: Integrate Apigee with backend systems and external APIs for seamless data exchange.
Security: Implement security controls to protect APIs and sensitive data.
Performance Optimization: Monitor API usage and implement mechanisms for scalability and reliability.
Governance and Compliance: Establish processes for API lifecycle management and compliance with standards.
DevOps Integration: Implement automation tools for streamlined API deployment and testing.
Documentation: Create comprehensive API documentation for internal and external developers.
Training and Enablement: Provide technical support and training on Apigee platform capabilities.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years experience as an Apigee Architect or similar role.
Deep understanding of RESTful API design principles and microservices architecture.
Expertise in Apigee platform features, including API proxies and analytics.
Strong programming skills in languages like Java, JavaScript, or Python.
Knowledge of API security standards and protocols.
Experience with cloud platforms and containerization technologies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Certifications such as Apigee Certified API Engineer (ACE) are a plus.
