Cloud Architect - Azure, Microsoft 365, Google Cloud & Google Workspace
Our client is modernizing its infrastructure and workplace technology across two ecosystems, and they're looking for a hands-on Cloud Architect to lead the way. Sponsored directly by the CTO, this role owns the architecture for Microsoft 365, Azure, Google Workspace, and Google Cloud, including the move off on-premises infrastructure. You'll design these environments, build them yourself, and train the engineers who will run them, so this is a role where your decisions shape the foundation the whole organization depends on.

- Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $175,000 - $210,000 per year

What You'll Do:
- Own the target architecture for the move off on-premises infrastructure, and take over and extend the Azure landing zone currently being built by an implementation partner
- Design and build the Google Cloud organization, and set multi-cloud standards for identity, networking, security, workload placement, and cost across Azure and Google Cloud
- Lead workload and file-share migrations to Azure, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Google Cloud, and Google Workspace, from discovery through cutover and owner acceptance
- Design identity and security across both suites, including Entra and Workspace SSO, the move to Entra-joined devices, the Microsoft 365 E5 security suite, and an Intune rollout for Windows, Mac, and mobile
- Serve as technical lead with vendors and partners, and train the infrastructure team through pairing, design reviews, and runbooks
What Gets You the Job:
- 8+ years in infrastructure or cloud engineering, including 5+ years designing and building cloud and productivity environments across Azure, Microsoft 365, Google Cloud, and Google Workspace
- An Azure landing zone and a Google Cloud organization you designed and built yourself
- A delivered on-premises-to-Azure migration of VMware and server workloads, plus led file-share migrations to SharePoint Online and OneDrive
- Hands-on experience with Entra ID, Conditional Access, Intune, the Microsoft 365 E5 security and compliance suite, and a hybrid-to-Entra-joined device migration
- PowerShell and Microsoft Graph automation, daily use of AI assistants in your engineering work, and a track record of training colleagues and documenting clearly
