Job Summary

This position is responsible for managing and maintaining the technological and operational infrastructure across academic, administrative, and residential facilities. The role combines hands-on technical expertise with general operational duties to ensure the smooth functioning of computing environments, audio-visual systems, inventory, and equipment logistics. This position reports to the Assistant Director of IT, and/or Executive Director of Campus Operations and Government Affairs, a division under the Chief Administrative Officer.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions
  • Manage computer laboratories (3 MS PC labs, 1 Apple Mac lab, and ECE lab) to ensure optimal functionality and availability
  • Install, configure, and update software applications across laboratory and campus systems
  • Oversee data backup and recovery management to ensure system integrity and continuity
  • Troubleshoot and resolve PC hardware and software issues in a timely manner
  • Purchase and manage electrical components and maintain storage for the Electrical & Computer Engineering Program
  • Manage and monitor inventory of IT equipment, electrical parts, and related supplies
  • Install and set up electrical components in designated locations as required
  • Provide technical and operational support for campus events
  • Cooperation with ECE faculty members for class operation, such as the electric kits order
  • Maintain and replace electronic devices in faculty housing as needed
  • Manage monthly invoices and process payments related to operations and IT services
  • Coordinate and manage rental car arrangements for operational needs
  • Ensure technology systems are fully functional in classrooms, faculty/staff offices, and other IT-related areas
  • Purchase, install, and maintain audio and video equipment across campus facilities
  • Support general operational activities as part of the Operations team, including school event coordination
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Campus Operations and the Assistant Director of IT in support of the Operations team's responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Proficiency in software installation, system configuration, backup, and recovery management
  • Proficiency in both Korean and English (speaking, reading, and writing)
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems and safe handling of electronic components
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and prioritize daily operations
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, and cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general administrative systems

Preferences
  • Experience working in a university, international school, or research-based academic environment
  • 2-3 years of experience in IT support, laboratory management, or technical operations in an academic or corporate environment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in PC hardware, software, and peripheral devices
  • Experience in inventory management and procurement of technical equipment, electrical components, and supplies
  • Familiarity with audio-visual equipment installation and maintenance
  • Knowledge of IT asset management systems
  • Hands-on experience with audio-visual system design and integration in classroom or conference environments
  • A valid driver's license
  • Programming or scripting skills
