Senior Java Developer 
Job Summary 
We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our engineering team.
 The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java and Spring-based application development, 
experience designing scalable and reliable backend systems, and the ability to mentor junior developers 
while contributing to technical decisions.
 Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java applications and backend services.

• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.

• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.

• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code.

• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.

• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.

• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding and engineering standards.

• Collaborate with product managers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and other development teams.

• Mentor junior and mid-level developers and provide technical guidance.

• Contribute to CI/CD, automated testing, and software development best practices.

• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.

• Strong proficiency in Java 8/11/17+.

• Strong experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data.

• Hands-on experience developing REST APIs and microservices.

• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, design patterns, and SOLID principles.

• Good understanding of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.

• Experience with JPA/Hibernate.

• Strong understanding of unit and integration testing using JUnit and Mockito.

• Experience with Git and standard software development workflows.

• Good understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging systems.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

• Knowledge of caching technologies such as Redis.

• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.

• Familiarity with observability tools, logging, monitoring, and distributed tracing.

• Experience working in high-volume or distributed systems.

 
5 10+ years of software development experience, with significant hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot.
