Senior Software Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Atlanta, GA that is seeking a Senior Software Engineer.

Responsibilities:
* Own delivery of full-stack features end-to-end, from requirements through production
* Build backend services, REST APIs, and frontend interfaces
* Design and evolve microservices architecture, APIs, and data models to support scale
* Apply pragmatic engineering judgment to balance speed, quality, and risk
* Maintain a high bar for code quality and architecture
* Conduct thoughtful code reviews
* Ensure strong coverage of edge cases
* Create and maintain clear, useful documentation to support team alignment and onboarding
* Contribute to a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement

Drive technical decision-making by:
* Shaping solution approaches
* Challenging assumptions
* Bringing clarity to complex problems

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience building and delivering production software systems
* Strong proficiency in at least one backend language: C#, Java, or TypeScript (Node.js)
* Experience building modern front-end applications: React, Angular, or Vue
* Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.)
* Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and REST APIs
* Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering and product teams

Bonus Points:
* Deep experience with C#/.NET (MVC, Entity Framework)
* Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native environments
* Familiarity with CI/CD (GitHub Actions or similar)
* Understanding of auth frameworks (RBAC, ABAC)
* Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code)
* Background in fintech or accounting automation

* Infrastructure: AWS, Kubernetes
* CI/CD: GitHub Actions
* Tooling: AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
