Position OverviewAs a
Data Center Technician, you will support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of physical infrastructure inside a mission-critical data center environment. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and ideal for individuals who enjoy technical work, problem-solving, and working as part of a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities- Install, route, label, and terminate copper and fiber cabling
- Support racking, stacking, and securing network, server, and storage hardware
- Perform cable dressing, pathway installation, and cable management to E2 Optics and client standards
- Assist with troubleshooting Layer 1 connectivity issues
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and site protocols
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
- Work collaboratively with leads, supervisors, and project managers to meet deadlines
Required Skills & Qualifications- Experience in data center, cabling, construction, or related technical environments
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in physically demanding conditions
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic test equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to safety
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred (Nice-to-Have)- Previous data center experience
- Fiber termination or testing experience
- Knowledge of structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA)
- Experience with racking/stacking network or server hardware
- Certifications such as OSHA 10, BICSI, or manufacturer-specific training

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mansfield, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
