Summary

The Marlin Alliance, Inc. is seeking a Senior HF Systems Engineer to join our team in Sierra Vista, AZ. This position supports our DoW customer and requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and integrate advanced High Frequency (HF) communication technologies into existing defense systems to enhance tactical networking capabilities.
  • Design and execute comprehensive laboratory and field-testing protocols to validate the performance of protected waveforms and tactical data link integrations.
  • Lead the engineering design, hardware modification, and prototype development of modular communication kits for maritime and airborne platforms through high technology readiness levels.
  • Develop specialized antenna solutions and RF switching circuitry to optimize signal integrity and multi-system interoperability.
  • Define technical requirements and conceptualize software interfaces to enable seamless data exchange across disparate radio frequency platforms.
  • Facilitate interoperability initiatives with departmental and international partners to validate communication standards and technical specifications.
  • Generate technical documentation, including test plans, architectural white papers, and engineering reports to support the adoption of new system capabilities.
  • Manage the technical implementation and build-out of communication infrastructure at designated operational sites.

Required Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) clearance is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems).
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience with radio frequency engineering.
  • Demonstrated expertise in HF radio frequency circuit design, audio/RF mixers, power distribution, and Tactical Data Links.

Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems).
  • Specialized knowledge of RF devices and/or systems.
  • Proficient knowledge of electronic test equipment including Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes, and Amplifiers.
  • Deep knowledge of RF Communications systems engineering and/or integration.
