Job Title: Technical Product Owner – Data

About the Role
Talent Groups is seeking an experienced Technical Product Owner to join a Global Data Engineering and Business Intelligence team. This role acts as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring data and BI solutions are properly defined, built, tested, and delivered to meet business objectives.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in data, analytics, and business intelligence, with proven experience translating business requirements into technical solutions. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys driving data initiatives, influencing stakeholders, and delivering impactful solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements
- Develop source-to-target mapping documentation for data integration initiatives
- Create mockups, prototypes, and solution designs to support delivery
- Partner with Data Engineering and BI teams throughout the development lifecycle
- Validate and test solutions to ensure alignment with requirements
- Support training, knowledge transfer, and user adoption activities
- Serve as the primary liaison between business and technical teams
- Manage stakeholder expectations and drive cross-functional alignment
- Ensure solutions meet quality standards and business objectives
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, data access, and processes
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Data Product Ownership, BI, or Data Engineering environments
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases
- Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and source-to-target mapping
- Hands-on experience with BI tools (Power BI preferred)
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts
- Experience working in Agile environments and using project management tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality delivery
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience acting as a liaison between business and technical teams
- Experience creating prototypes, wireframes, or solution mockups
- Exposure to enterprise reporting and data transformation initiatives
- Strong focus on improving data accessibility and user experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
