Summary
York Space Systems is seeking a Sr. Data Analyst whose responsibilities include providing advanced analytics, reporting, data entry, and data integrity support across Payroll and Benefits operations. This role owns the development, maintenance, and optimization of HRIS-based reports and dashboards, leveraging Power BI to deliver meaningful insights for business leaders. The Senior Analyst ensures the accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance of highly sensitive employee data and serves as a subject matter expert for complex reporting needs, data governance, and system troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain HRIS and Power BI dashboards, datasets, and recurring reports to support payroll processing, benefits administration, and organizational decision-making.
Perform high-level data entry, audits, and data quality checks to ensure accuracy across payroll and benefits systems.
Perform complex data analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities within payroll, benefit, and workforce data.
Serve as the primary resource for troubleshooting data issues within HRIS, including integrations, data flows, and reporting logic.
Partner with Payroll and Benefits, to translate business requirements into actionable reporting solutions.
Ensure strict data governance and compliance with internal controls, privacy regulations, and audit standards for highly sensitive employee information.
Handle sensitive employee data securely, ensuring compliance with privacy and confidentiality requirements.
Own and improve reporting processes, documentation, and data quality controls.
Lead or support HRIS enhancement projects, including testing, requirements gathering, and analytics design.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, HR, or related field (or 6 years of relevant experience).
5+ years of experience in Payroll and Benefits analytics, including HRIS reporting.
Advanced experience with Power BI (data modeling, dashboard development, etc.).
Strong analytical and reporting skills that translate across multiple business functions; HR specific experience is helpful but not mandatory
Experience working with Oracle.
Expert-level in using and optimizing analytics and reporting tools.
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite including pivot tables, v-look up, formulas, and merger.
Proven ability to manage confidential data with discretion and accuracy.
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
