Validation Engineer

Important Requirements

1. Candidates must currently reside in the Raleigh area or be willing to permanently relocate to Raleigh for the duration of the engagement.
2. This position requires onsite attendance Monday through Friday.
3. This is a hands-on individual contributor role. Candidates must be comfortable independently planning, executing, documenting, and reporting validation activities.
4. Due to the aggressive project timeline, only candidates with demonstrated experience in similar validation roles will be considered.
5. Candidates must have proven experience validating end-to-end workflows, business processes, and data integrity across multiple integrated systems.
6. Experience working with integrations involving Salesforce, SAP, AWS/cloud platforms, enterprise applications, customer portals, and connected software ecosystems is strongly preferred.
7. Strong preference will be given to candidates with experience in regulated environments, particularly medical devices, healthcare, or other quality-driven industries.
8. This is not a pure automation testing role. Candidates must have hands-on experience validating business processes, workflows, and data flow across enterprise and user-facing applications.
9. Candidates should have direct experience creating and maintaining validation documentation, including:
o Validation Plans
o Test Protocols
o Test Reports
o Requirements Traceability Matrices
o Defect Documentation
o Validation Evidence Packages
10. Candidates must be able to ramp up quickly with minimal onboarding and begin contributing immediately.

• Describe a project where you validated data flow and business processes across multiple integrated systems (such as Salesforce, SAP, cloud services, portals, or connected applications). What was your role, what documentation did you create, and what defects or data integrity issues did you identify?

This question will help distinguish experienced validation engineers from candidates whose backgrounds are primarily focused on general software testing.

1- Validate data flow, data integrity and business processes across Salesforce, SAP, AWS, medical device software, and associated cloud services.
2- Create verification and validation documentation in accordance with Merz quality procedures.
3- Develop traceability between requirements, risks, test cases, and validation evidence.
4- Identify and document defects across interconnected systems.
5- Collaborate with software, portal, cybersecurity, quality, and enterprise application teams.
6- Validate front-end work-flow within the portal as part of User Acceptance and Validation activity.
7- Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs.
