Job Title: Telecom/ OSS / KPI Management Engineer
Location: Mountain View, CA
Duration: 12 Months

Responsibilities:

• Implement complex monitoring metrics and KPI formulas across cloud-native network functions and ground station infrastructure to ensure high-fidelity data collection.
• Collaborate with network design teams to assess technical feasibility and convert high-level designs into actionable configurations for system-wide network probes.
• Partner with the OSS Infrastructure team to optimize database schemas and monitoring probes for the high-velocity data streams unique to NTN segments.
• Configure and verify Southbound interfaces such as SNMP and NetConf to ensure seamless communication between on-prem infrastructure and the OSS layer.
• Collaborate with OSS vendors to customize and fine-tune toolsets for the unique technical challenges of satellite network monitoring.
• Establish automated alerting frameworks that enable the proactive identification and rapid mitigation of service degradation.
• Conduct Post-Implementation Reviews (PIR) to validate that network modifications or software upgrades have not regressed established KPI baselines.
• Perform regular audits of network performance data to ensure continuous accuracy and alignment with carrier-grade SLAs.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in network performance management or OSS engineering.
• Proven experience in 5G/LTE network implementation, specifically focusing on KPI extraction and performance monitoring.
• Strong familiarity with OSS platforms (e.g., Nokia, Ericsson, Amdocs) and the integration of performance management modules.
• Technical expertise in configuring Southbound interfaces and protocols including SNMP
• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform
• Proficiency in Linux environments and scripting languages (Python, Bash, or Go) for automating performance data collection.
• Solid understanding of database schemas and data streaming technologies (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, or Kafka) for real-time analytics.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with design teams, infrastructure engineers, and third-party vendors in a fast-paced environment.
