Description
We have an immediate need for 1 desktop support technicians to support the Navy through Leidos. We area looking for individuals with 2+ years of desktop support, have a fully adjudicated secret clearance, and a Security + CE certification. There is 1 position that will be sitting at Naval Base San Diego
The individual will be assisting users regarding various hardware and software applications. They troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues, assess user needs, and recommend technical fixes.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Technical Support:** Respond to user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems.
**Setup and Installation:** Set up equipment for employee use, ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, and software.**Maintenance and Repairs:** Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment.**System Performance:** Oversee the daily performance of computer systems and conduct diagnostics to investigate and resolve issues.
**Collaboration:** Work with other team members and have worked supporting military personnel, systems analysts, programmers, and other IT staff to solve complex issues.
**Training:** Provide support to users to help them become more proficient with their computer equipment and software at times as well.
**Qualifications:**
- **Experience:** 2-4 or more years of basic technical support experience.
- **Skills:** Proficiency in computer systems, hardware, and network operation. Familiarity with various operating systems such as Windows, MacOS, and Linux.
**Additional Duties:**
- Maintain a work log of job tickets and maintenance tasks.
This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of computer systems and IT infrastructure for the Navy at Naval Air station Coronado.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.60 - $33.60/hr.
