Job Description
We are seeking an SAP FICO Consultant / Lead – Data Migration Carve-Out with strong functional expertise in SAP FI/CO and cross-functional knowledge of PS, MM, and SD. The consultant will support an SAP carve-out project involving data extraction, mapping, transformation, loading, validation, and reconciliation within the existing SAP landscape.
The project uses custom ABAP programs, custom conversion logic, and standard/custom BAPIs rather than external ETL tools. Strong Advanced Excel skills are therefore essential for large-scale manual data manipulation and reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead manual SAP data migration activities including extraction, mapping, transformation, and loading.
- Handle migration of historical and open data within the existing SAP landscape.
- Perform detailed pre-load and post-load data reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy and data integrity.
- Execute and troubleshoot migration loads using custom ABAP programs and standard/custom BAPIs.
- Cleanse, audit, transform, and validate large datasets using Advanced Excel.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand and validate data-migration logic.
- Capture business feedback and communicate requirements/updates to the technical migration team.
- Reconcile MM/SD logistics data with FI/CO financial data.
Required Skills
- SAP FI/CO: Strong operational knowledge of GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Cost Center, Profit Center, and Internal Orders.
- SAP PS: Knowledge of WBS and Project Systems.
- SAP MM: Knowledge of Material Master Data and Purchase Orders.
- SAP SD: Knowledge of Sales Orders.
- Advanced Excel: Expertise with VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas, data cleansing, mapping, transformation, and reconciliation.
- SAP Technical Literacy: Ability to work with custom ABAP programs, BAPIs, and standard SAP ECC tables for data verification.
- Strong data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP Carve-Out / System Split / Data Split experience.
- Aviation / Aerospace domain experience strongly preferred.
- Experience manually reconciling MM/SD logistics data against FI/CO financial data.
- Experience working on SAP migration projects without external ETL tools.
