This role is responsible for building, deploying, maintaining, and improving web sites and web-based applications that support customer missions. Location: Onsite in Dahlgren, VA
Duration: 6+ month contract-to-hire
Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain web sites and web-based applications.
- Develop and enhance site navigation, usability, and overall user experience.
- Provide technical maintenance and consultation related to:
- Animation and graphics
- Search engine techniques
- Link integrity
- Browser compatibility
- Navigation and GUI design
- Develop code using Microsoft .NET Framework, HTML, Visual Basic, JavaScript, and other web-based programming languages.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to web site and application development.
- Provide technical support and administration of the software infrastructure used to implement and maintain customer web sites.
- Support web applications with database back-end integrations.
- Utilize and support ServiceNow or similar trouble-ticketing systems.
- Ensure compliance with applicable security and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.
- Collaborate with team members, customers, and management to support development, troubleshooting, and enhancements.
Qualifications- Experience:
- Three to five (3-5) years of experience as a Web Developer.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining web sites/applications hosted within the Microsoft .NET Framework.
- Experience with:
- .NET
- JavaScript
- Visual Basic
- Classic ASP
- HTML
- SQL
- Web/application development experience with database back-end systems.
- Knowledge of web development tools, techniques, and standards including HTML, Java, graphics formats (e.g., GIF), animation, browser compatibility, and basic GUI design.
- Additional Skills:
- Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
- Experience using the ServiceNow trouble-ticketing system is highly desired.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience presenting or demonstrating applications to small internal audiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience writing, maintaining, and reviewing technical documentation.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively to complete tasks.
Physical Demands- Ability to lift up to 10-15 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to twist, bend, and squat periodically.
