The High-Performance Compute capabilities delivered by the team led by the Classified HPC Center Manager is an essential part of our mission.

Job Description
The Classified HPC Center Manager leads the High-Performance Compute Center team. This role is accountable for the end-to-end life cycle of classified compute systems including design, engineering, deployment, integration, enablement and operations as well as the overall charter and strategic direction of the Classified High-Performance Center.

Responsibilities include
Leadership/People Management: Day-to-day direction of IT System Engineers. Recruitment, selection, onboarding, training, performance evaluations and career development. Foster a culture of security, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Program Management: Lead cost, schedule, and technical execution for HPC initiatives. Allocate resources, track milestones, and report status to Executive Leadership. Manage risk, issue resolution, and change control.
Architecture and Engineering: Lead design, engineering, integration, deployment, standardization and sustainment of the following on air-gapped environments of HPC systems ensuring security and performance.
High-Performance Compute Center Governance: Define and maintain the charter, processes, strategy and metrics for HPC as the standard enterprise Classified HPC offering. Establish best-practice standards and architecture frameworks for classified environments. Coordinate cross-functional alignment with Enterprise IT, Program Management, and Mission Stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement: Translate mission requirements into complete system solutions, balancing technology maturity and security constraints. Primary liaison with classified mission customers, acquisition offices, and external research partners. Produce technical briefings, status reports, and executive presentations.

Basic Qualifications

ship; ability to obtain US DoD Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field.
Hands-on experience designing, operating, or supporting high-performance computing (HPC) clusters or similar large-scale compute environments and related secure virtualization.
Proven leadership experience in engineering assignments and successful proven results in leading and executing on complex programs with a demonstrated ability to succeed despite technical, operational and resource challenges.
Possesses strong systems engineering and program management capabilities
Solid understanding of Agile, DevSecOps and Digital Transformation
Demonstrated ability to develop technical and financial business cases and strategies based on complex requirements.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to all levels and develop effective stakeholder and partner relationships.

Desired skills

Active Secret Clearance or higher
8 years experience on classified projects with at least 4 years in technical or program management leadership roles.
Demonstrated expertise and experience in developing and implementing High Performance Computing architecture.
Experience with modern DevSecOps practices in a high-security, air-gapped environment
Knowledge of DoD/IC compliance frameworks (RMF, DISA STIGs, NIST 800-53, JSIG).
Knowledge of key vendors providing infrastructure and security solutions, as well as secure environments
Familiarity with Kubernetes, KVM, VMware and other virtualization platforms
Ability to influence and negotiate across functional boundaries

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $139,600 - $246,100. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $160,500 - $278,300. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
