Summary
Rate Range: $90/hour to $94/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Mechanical Engineer IV job responsibilities include:
- Perform advanced non?linear static and dynamic FEA using tools such as Abaqus or Ansys to support structural, thermomechanical, and heat?transfer analysis for product development.
- Develop and refine simulation models for polymers, elastomers, adhesives, brittle materials, and other complex material behaviors used in high?volume consumer electronics.
- Conduct multiphysics simulations (e.g., fracture mechanics, thermomechanics) and drive design optimization through simulation?based insights and trade?off studies.
- Correlate simulation outputs with physical test data by supporting calibration, validation, and verification activities, including coordination with test vendors.
- Collaborate with mechanical design, materials, reliability, and manufacturing teams to integrate CAE findings into product design from concept through production.
- Communicate simulation results and recommendations clearly to cross?functional stakeholders and leadership to influence design decisions and improve product performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of hands?on FEA experience, preferably within high?volume consumer electronics.
- Advanced proficiency in non?linear static/dynamic FEA and multiphysics simulations using tools such as Abaqus, Ansys, or equivalent CAE software.
- Strong material?modeling expertise with the ability to validate and calibrate simulations using physical test data while communicating results effectively to cross?functional teams.

Pay Details: $90.00 to $94.00 per hour
