Summary

Senior Security Engineer – Zscaler

Introduction: As a Senior Security Engineer specializing in Zscaler, you will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and managing Zscaler platform capabilities, including Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), Zscaler Workload Automation (ZWA), OCR, EDM, IDM, eDLP, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP). This role will be based in North Quincy, MA.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, configure, and manage Zscaler platform capabilities, including OCR, EDM, IDM, eDLP, and Zscaler Workload Automation (ZWA).
  • Develop, tune, and maintain Zscaler DLP/eDLP policies, rule sets, and advanced detection logic.
  • Create and maintain SOPs, knowledge articles, runbooks, triage workflows, and incident remediation playbooks for Zscaler operations.
  • Perform alert triage, investigation, and incident remediation, including root-cause analysis and documentation.
  • Monitor Zscaler platform performance and drive continuous tuning cycles to improve detection accuracy and reduce false positives.
  • Collaborate with Security Operations, Network teams, Compliance, and Application Owners for policy improvements and incident handling.
  • Act as a subject matter contact for platform-related queries and support escalations.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with the Zscaler platform, including deployment and configuration of OCR, EDM, IDM, eDLP, ZWA, and policy development.
  • Proven experience operationalizing Zscaler solutions, including SOP creation, triage workflows, and incident-handling processes.
  • Strong understanding of DLP concepts, content inspection, data classification, and enterprise traffic flows.
  • Experience performing incident triage, investigation, user remediation, and reporting within Zscaler environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based security architectures (SSE/SASE), secure web gateways, and Zero Trust models.
  • Ability to collaborate across Security, Network, Legal, and Compliance teams during policy lifecycle management.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
