Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Databricks Administrator with extensive experience managing and supporting Azure Databricks environments and cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Databricks workspace and cluster administration, Lakehouse architecture, and platform automation, along with a solid understanding of cloud security, IAM, and networking principles. This role will focus on ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of the Databricks platform while supporting data engineering and analytics teams.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and manage Azure Databricks workspaces, clusters, and platform configurations.
Configure and manage Unity Catalog, metastore, and data governance policies.
Support and maintain Delta Lake and Lakehouse architecture implementations.
Optimize Spark configurations and performance for large-scale data processing workloads.
Automate platform provisioning and management using Databricks REST APIs, CLI, and Terraform.
Implement and maintain security controls, IAM policies, and network configurations for Databricks environments.
Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of the data platform.
Collaborate with data engineers, DevOps teams, and cloud architects to support data pipelines and analytics workloads.
Develop scripts and automation for platform management using Python, SQL, Bash, or PowerShell.
Maintain operational documentation, best practices, and platform governance standards.
