Additional Information:

California Resident Candidates Only. Work is expected to be done initially onsite. Possibility for remote work part time. Interviews in person; may consider virtual, depending on candidate location. Work schedule is M-Thurs 7:15am-6pm (10 hours) at Public Works HQ in Alhambra, CA 91803. Maybe required to work after hours, Fridays and Weekends advance notice will be provided.

Additional Skills Required:

• Demonstrated expertise in designing, implementing, administering, and supporting Omnissa Horizon/VDI environments, including Connection Servers, Unified Access Gateway (UAG), Remote Desktop Services (RDS) farms, golden images, FSLogix, Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM), App Volumes, OS Optimization Tool (OSOT), Windows 11, and Horizon platform upgrades.
• Extensive experience implementing and managing Rubrik Security Cloud for VMware, Windows Server, SQL Server, and NAS workloads, including immutable backups, Identity Recovery, cyber recovery, Active Directory recovery, disaster recovery testing, and ransomware-resilient backup strategies.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing Komprise for enterprise NAS analytics, data migration, tiering, archiving, capacity forecasting, storage optimization, and integration with Dell PowerScale environments.
• Strong expertise in administering Dell PowerScale/Isilon storage environments using OneFS, including SMB/NFS services, SmartPools, SnapshotIQ, SyncIQ, file and folder permissions, capacity planning, performance monitoring, backup, archive, and large-scale data migration.
• Demonstrated ability to design, configure, and manage Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud infrastructure, including Azure Arc, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure Update Manager, Azure Virtual Machines, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Azure Policy, networking, backup, and recovery services.
• Proficiency in enterprise infrastructure monitoring and performance management using VMware Aria Operations/vRealize Operations (vROps), ControlUp, Azure Monitor, and infrastructure health dashboards, including alerting, capacity management, availability monitoring, performance analysis, and proactive issue identification.
• Strong experience in security and vulnerability management using Tenable and equivalent security platforms, including CIS, Microsoft, and VMware hardening standards, vulnerability assessment and remediation, network segmentation, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), least-privilege access, administrative tiering, and ransomware recovery practices.
• Extensive experience designing and executing enterprise disaster recovery strategies, including Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) planning, application dependency mapping, VMware, Active Directory, SQL Server, NAS, and Azure recovery, isolated recovery environments, recovery sequencing, disaster recovery testing, and development of executable recovery runbooks.

Additional Experience Required:

• Omnissa Horizon/VDI: Minimum six (6) years of experience designing, implementing, administering, and supporting enterprise virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), including Omnissa Horizon Connection Servers, Unified Access Gateway (UAG), Remote Desktop Services (RDS) farms, golden images, FSLogix, Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM), App Volumes, OS Optimization Tool (OSOT), Windows 11, and Horizon platform upgrades.
• Rubrik Data Protection and Cyber Recovery: Minimum four (4) years of experience implementing and managing Rubrik Security Cloud, including VMware, Windows Server, SQL Server, and NAS protection, immutable backups, Identity Recovery, Active Directory recovery, cyber recovery, disaster recovery testing, and ransomware-resilient backup solutions.
• Komprise Data Management: Minimum four (4) years of experience implementing and managing Komprise solutions for NAS analytics, data migration, tiering, archiving, capacity forecasting, storage cost optimization, and integration with Dell PowerScale storage environments.
• Dell PowerScale/Isilon: Minimum six (6) years of experience administering and supporting Dell PowerScale/Isilon enterprise storage environments, including OneFS, SMB/NFS, SmartPools, SnapshotIQ, SyncIQ, file and folder permissions, capacity planning, performance management, backup, archiving, and large-scale data migration.
• Microsoft Azure and Hybrid Infrastructure: Minimum four (4) years of experience designing, implementing, and managing Microsoft Azure and hybrid infrastructure, including Azure Arc, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure Update Manager, Azure Virtual Machines, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Azure Policy, networking, backup, and recovery.
• Infrastructure Monitoring and Performance Management: Minimum six (6) years of experience implementing and managing enterprise infrastructure monitoring solutions, including VMware Aria Operations/vRealize Operations (vROps), ControlUp, Azure Monitor, infrastructure health dashboards, alerting, capacity management, availability monitoring, and performance analysis.
• Security and Vulnerability Management: Minimum four (4) years of experience performing enterprise security hardening and vulnerability management using Tenable or equivalent platforms, including CIS, Microsoft, and VMware security standards, vulnerability remediation, network segmentation, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), least-privilege access, administrative tiering, and ransomware recovery.
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Minimum six (6) years of experience designing, implementing, and testing enterprise disaster recovery solutions, including Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) planning, dependency mapping, VMware, Active Directory, SQL Server, NAS, and Azure recovery, isolated recovery environments, recovery sequencing, disaster recovery testing, and executable recovery runbooks.  

Additional Education Required:

This classification requires the possession of a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related or Engineering field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
