Job Title: Data Modeler – Senior Consultant

Location: Miramar, FL (Hybrid) (Local Only)

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Data Modeler with deep expertise in enterprise data warehousing (EDW) and dimensional modeling to design scalable, analytics-ready data models. This role requires strong collaboration with business and technical stakeholders and hands-on leadership across end-to-end data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW)
• Apply Kimball dimensional modeling techniques (facts, dimensions, star schemas)
• Define and implement Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD), with strong focus on Type 2
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into optimized data models
• Define fact table grain, metrics, and dimensional relationships
• Create and maintain data dictionaries, metadata, and source-to-target mappings
• Identify and resolve data model and performance issues
• Document standards and best practices across data modeling initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• 7+ years of hands-on data modeling experience
• Strong expertise in SQL and Kimball dimensional modeling methodology
• Experience with EDW and relational/cloud databases (Oracle, SQL Server, or similar)
• Knowledge of SCD Type 2 (plus other SCD types)
• Experience with ETL/ELT architectures, data quality, and metadata management
• Proficiency with data modeling tools (e.g. Erwin, PowerDesigner, ER/Studio, Visio)
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
