PeopleSoft Developer
Introduction:
The PeopleSoft Developer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining PeopleSoft applications within the organization. They will work closely with the team to ensure the successful integration of PeopleSoft tools and technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and customize PeopleSoft applications using PeopleTools 8.5x/8.6x
- Write and optimize PeopleCode for various functionalities
- Create and maintain Application Engine processes
- Utilize Component Interface for data manipulation
- Design and develop Pages/Components, Records/Fields/Menus, and File Layouts
- Write and optimize PS Query for reporting purposes
- Implement Event Mapping and WorkCenters within PeopleSoft applications
- Integrate PeopleSoft applications with external systems using Integration Broker, REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, XML/JSON, SFTP, and Kafka-based event generation
- Collaborate with Java and Messaging teams for integration tasks
- Implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery processes using Git, Jenkins, shell/PowerShell scripting, and deployment automation
- Utilize Python for data processing, OOP, JSON/CSV parsing, and concurrent processing
Requirements:
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in PeopleSoft Development including PeopleTools 8.5x/8.6x
- Experience with PeopleCode, Application Engine (AE), and Component Interface (CI)
- Knowledge of Java, JUnit, and Kafka for messaging tasks
- Familiarity with Git (GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket) and Jenkins for CI/CD processes
- Experience with shell/PowerShell scripting for automation
- Strong understanding of Python (3.x) for data processing and automation
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with PeopleSoft Administration tasks such as environment setup, performance monitoring, and security administration
- Knowledge of Oracle, Oracle WebLogic, and Integration Broker
- Experience with PL/SQL, Unix Shell Scripting, and text processing tools
