• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, software engineering or relevant field required.
Required Qualifications:
• Seeking an engineer to develop, execute, and automate Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-loop (SIL) verification activities for embedded control systems
• The role focuses on dSPACE-based test environments, system-level verification, automation in both the HIL and SIL environments, and troubleshooting of electronic control software and hardware.
• This position provides hands-on experience in both Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) verification and validation for CLIENT embedded control systems
• The engineer will work with dSPACE, MATLAB/Simulink, automation frameworks, and production software, gaining exposure to the complete virtual validation lifecycle while contributing to delivery of 2026 and 2027 Product Group commitments

• Knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components
• Strong knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software. Solid programming experience in C or C++
• Strong knowledge of computer development software as it relates to embedded systems, such as SQL, Visual Basic, etc.
• Strong hands-on experience with dSPACE HIL systems, ECU validation, and embedded controls testing.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and model-based development concepts.
• Experience with Python automation, test scripting, and data analysis.
• Knowledge of CAN/J1939, UDS diagnostics, Vector tools, and hardware troubleshooting/debugging.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute HIL/SIL verification test plans for embedded control systems and ECUs.
• Configure, operate, and troubleshoot dSPACE/Vector-based test benches and validation environments.
• Create and maintain automated test scripts, data collection, and reporting tools to improve test efficiency and coverage for both HIL and SIL environments
• Analyze defects, perform root-cause investigations, and support system-level verification of software and hardware integrations.
• 40% HIL/SIL test development and execution, 30% test automation and scripting, 20% issue investigation and debugging, 10% team collaboration, reviews, and planning.
• Develop, execute, and maintain validation tests for embedded control software using dSPACE, MATLAB/Simulink, and automation tools
• Part of the Software Verification & Validation team supporting virtual validation, SIL, and HIL testing for CLIENT embedded control systems.
• Collaborates with cross-functional engineering teams across software, controls, and product groups
